In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Disability Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Key Points and Application Form

Licence Aid is available to all candidates taking UKCC Courses and applying for Regional Grant Aid. Whereas ‘Grant Aid’ is available only to clubs, ‘Licence Aid’ is available to non club members also. To apply for ‘Licence Aid’ candidates should complete the Application Form form on our website www.swimming.org/eastmidland and send it in to the regional office at the address stated. Licence aid will be paid directly to the candidate. The Application form must be completed with a registered ASA license number. To become licensed please visit www.swimming.org and look under ‘teachers and coaches’ and then ‘licensing’. Alternatively you can call the licensing team 01509 640 464 or email licensing@swimming.org.
