Another Great Britain selection for DX

Ben Goodall has been selected to represent Great Britain, in his international debut, at the LEN Open Water Cup taking place in Israel in May 2012.

This call-up comes off the back of his performance in the 1500m Freestyle at the British Gas Swimming Championships in London last week. Ben swam a massive PB in December to qualify for British Championships and then dropped another 6 seconds in London with a 16:23 effort.

Ben will compete as one of three junior boys in Israel from which the fastest two will go on to race again for GB at the European Junior Open Water Championships (July 2012 in Turkey).

Ben is now the 5th Derventio swimmer to compete for Great Britain since 2010.

Congratulations to Ben on his international call-up and good luck in Israel from all.
