The Sport and Recreation Alliance are holding their 20th annual awards to recognise recreational organisations and bodies for the work they do in their communities – and there are cash prizes up for grabs!

There are 6 categories for nominations covering the breadth of work that is done in the community, and prizes will be awarded for the following:

As well as an Overall Community Sport and Recreation winner who will scoop a cash prize of £2,000!

As the National Governing Body, the ASA are keen to put our clubs forward for these awards, to recognise the incredible contribution that you make to your local communities and the sport of swimming.  We are able to nominate up to three clubs for the awards, and so welcome any club that has achieved Swim 21 accreditation to apply. To view full nominee criteria click here.

In order to be considered you must complete the attached application form, and once completed you need to return this along with a copy of your club’s constitution to volunteering@swimming.org by Friday 22nd March 2013.

We will short-list the entries and pick up to three to submit for the awards. Successful applicants will then be sent in along with a supporting statement written by us, for consideration.

Winners will be presented with their awards at the Sport and Recreation Alliance AGM to be held at St James’ Palace in the summer, you will be notified at least a month in advance if you have been chosen to receive an award.
