The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.
The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

The East Midlands is holding an East Midland Swim Teacher Training Day at SportPark, Loughborough on Sunday 13th May 2012.
The inaugural Derbyshire Disability Swimming Development Day was held at Alfreton Leisure Centre on 19th February 2012.
Ben Goodall has been selected to represent Great Britain, in his international debut, at the LEN Open Water Cup taking place in Israel in May 2012.
In the East Midland Region, Water Polo course dates have been set for 2013! All are to be held at SportPark

First up in the finals session of day 6 was Derventio eXcel Captain Kane Haggett in the semi-finals of the 50m Free. Kane had a great start and blasted an outside smoker to qualify 4th for tomorrows final in a lifetime best of 22.75.
