At the recent Leicester Age Group Meet Harriet Cooper smashed the British Junior short course 50m Freestyle record held by Olympian Fran Halsall since 2005.

Having already broken the 100m Backstroke record earlier in the day Harriet displayed great mid season form as her preparations to the European Junior Championships continue.

Harriet's previous best was set in March this year at 26.08.

But, competing at the City of Leicester Age Group Meet at Braunstone Leisure Centre, she smashed it, setting 25.78 to also beat Halsall's old British junior record 25.81.

This was a brilliant swim & worth the watch!!
