New Online Membership System

In response to requests from clubs, the ASA and Swim Wales are launching a new, flexible, customised online system for membership applications and renewals.

The Online Membership System will replace the current electronic Club Membership System (CMS) paper based process and associated ancillary applications to achieve the following goals:

  • Accelerate the annual renewals processing and day to day registrations
  • Assist club officers in maintaining their membership information and calculating fees due
  • Provide members with the ability to amend their own personal details
  • Provide a scalable and flexible application to accommodate the current and future data storage strategies of the ASA and WASA

Starting from 2012, renewals will be carried out quickly and easily online and members will have access to their stored information at the click of a button, at any time day or night!  The new system will mean that amendments can be made easily, ensuring accuracy of the data at all times. In addition, clubs will have the opportunity to download useful reports on membership data.

Clubs will be invited to be involved in testing of the new system over the summer months, and it will officially go live on 3rd January 2012, to tie in with the membership renewals process.

Look out for news on developments and how you can be involved in the coming months.  As well as regular updates via swimming.org, Twitter and Swimming Times, we will be communicating directly via email to club secretaries, registration officers, treasurers and chairs, who are requested to share the details with fellow officers.  If you are a club officer and are not sure if we have your correct email address in order to receive updates on the new system, please send your details to memberships_online@swimming.org .  Please also contact membership  if you have any questions about the new system.
