2 New Club Support Co-Ordinators

The ASA North West Region are pleased to announce the appointment of 2 new officers to help and support the clubs, local associations, county associations in delivering aquatics in the region. 

The new officers commenced their roles on Monday 9th June 2014.

The new officers will work in partnership with Sarah Darragh, ASA Club Development Officer, to ensure that all aquatic sports are supported with regards to Workforce Development, Swim21, Funding applications.

Jonathan will be an acitve presence at Diving and Water Polo Management meetings to action and support registering courses, development days etc.


Jonathan Harrison has sports development experience in a number of different sports including, tennis, badminton, football and gymnastics.  In his previous role he was responsible for creating networks and linking with partners to negotiate club time to ensure a smooth athlete pathway from grass roots to elite.  Through this work he has also been responsible for co-ordinating young volunteer schemes and delivering young leaders workshops.  Having a fresh perspective from outside of aquatics should add some new focus and initiative within the NW clubs team.

Wendy McNeil has been an active member of the swimming community since completing her ASA Level 1 Assistant Teachers in 1996.  Previously Regional Director for RBS for 34 years she holds a wealth of knowledge and experience within Aquatics and can offer support and expertise to swimming clubs going through transition from Voluntary to Limited Company.

Wendy is well known in the NW for her delivery of Disability Swimming, and her voluntary time is spent coaching the NW Disability Squad.
