VOLUNTEERS; Your Opportunity to Tell the ASA What You Think

Are you part of the aquatic community and want to get your hands on two tickets to the 2013 British Gas Swimming Championships?

The ASA have recently launched a national survey looking at the Technical Officials pathway within the swimming discipline. They are investigating the associated barriers with the pathway and to further understand the motivation of volunteers to become Technical Officials.

They want to learn more about why volunteers choose to become Technical Officials within the swimming discipline. They also want to know more about the barriers that may prevent you from becoming involved. The ASA want to understand the motivations of our volunteers to help us provide you with a better service in the future.

Whether you currently hold any British Swimming Officiating qualifications, or if you volunteer in a different way in aquatics, we want to know what you think about the Swimming Technical Officials Pathway. This is your opportunity to tell us what you think about the pathway and how it can be improved.

The survey will take you 10 minutes to complete and you could win two tickets to the British Gas Swimming Championships session of your choice (subject to availability) in June.

The survey is open until the 7thMay and we are encouraging all volunteers (officials and non-officials) to provide us with their opinions. The survey can be accessed via the ASA website http://www.swimming.org/asa/news/volunteering/your-opportunity-to-tell-us-what-you-think-about-the-technical-officials-pa/16663/.
