Kendal ASC - Coach Vacancy
Kendal ASC is a successful competitive club based in Kendal, Cumbria in the South Lakeland area. The club has a long established history with an increasingly large and expanding membership base and our objective is to increase our profile within swimming in the North West region.
We wish to enhance our talented coaching team by appointing a Head Coach. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate and proactive and will play an instrumental part in sharing our vision and achieving our goal.
Hours – negotiable, up to 10 hours per week
Qualification - Level 2 with NPLQ (desirable)
Salary Negotiable but commensurate with the importance of the position
Experience of working with age group swimmers
A high level of technical knowledge with experience of effective leadership
Ability to develop swimmers’ technique , motivate and encourage high performance
Capability to guide and mentor less experienced members of the coaching team
Communicate effectively with swimmers, coaches, parents and volunteer helpers
A willingness to get involved and promote the club is essential
Plan and deliver a well structured, innovative and progressive coaching programme
Ensure a high quality and professional standard geared around the development of all individuals ensuring each reaches their potential and achieves their individual objectives
Communicate annual plan and objectives to swimmers and parents
Use goal oriented motivation to challenge and develop swimmers
To be a positive role model at all times, creating an environment where training is fun and seen as a greater vision of pursuing excellence
Availability for both team and open competitions
Contribute to the attainment of swim 21 accreditation
Contribute to the Club development plan, set agreed performance targets determined with committee
