We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Becky Adlington SwimStars Team who will coordinate the Learn to Swim provision for a cluster of sites in the Northwest including primary schools and community swimming lessons for adults and children. The successful applicant will be expected to increase learn to swim and swimming participation opportunities to cover all age ranges and promote the teaching programme to a wide audience.
Applicants will possess a Level 2 Swimming Teacher Qualification and Current RLSS National Rescue Award for Swimming Teachers and Coaches or equivalent. With previous experience of the delivery of aquatic initiatives, you should be able to prioritise your workload, have good organisational, planning and communication skills, be educated to A-level standard or equivalent and have good experience of partnership working

Bears Swim School is looking for one apprentice to complete the Level 2 Apprenticeship in Activity Leadership with Coaching Swimming at Castleton Pool, Rochdale and Oulder Hill School Pool, Rochdale. This apprenticeship programme offers the opportunity for learners to be able to lead coaching sessions in a safe and effective manner.
The apprentice will be required to work as part of a team, attend competitions, and develop skills in coaching and leadership leading towards being able to manage a group as a coach.
This apprenticeship is designed for those individuals wishing to pursue a career in the leisure industry through a teaching route; it is entirely work based and work related. The swimming programme gives you a wide range of knowledge and experience, and most importantly the qualifications to help you develop a career within the leisure industry. At the end of this apprenticeship you will be a fully qualified swimming teacher, with the ability to teach lessons to groups of swimmers from beginners to experienced, children to adults.
