ASA Water Polo Review

Following the withdrawal of funding by UK Sport into Women’s Water Polo the ASA decided to commission a full review of Water Polo within England. The aim of the review was to look at all aspects of the game, from grass roots development, through the talent pathway to elite performance. The review covered the governance structure, development and talent programmes and the competition pathway.

The review was presented to the ASA Sport Governing Board and members of the water polo community on Sunday, 25th January 2015 and was well received by attendees.

Swimathon Foundation Community Grants

The Swimathon Foundation offer grants of funding ranging from £300 to £2,500 to individuals and groups who provide opportunities for swimming and promote the sport in their local communities.

Grants are available from £300 to £2,500 to individuals and groups who provide opportunities for swimming and promote the sport in their local communities.

The foundation is passionate about encouraging people to get involved in swimming, so any innovative and sustainable project which will make swimming more accessible to the community, or get more people participating, are invited to apply.

As the grants are awarded annually, pools, individuals or community groups that have received funding from the Swimathon Foundation Community Grants Scheme in the last 12 months are not eligible to apply.
