Applications are now open for the 2014 Great Start Programme, that supports coaches by giving them the opportunity to apply for grants.
Great Start grants are available to both aspiring and amateur coaches who wish to further their qualifications. You can apply for grants via the brand’s Facebook page www.facebook.com/GilletteUK
The scheme, that is run in partnership with sports coach UK, was this year launched by Gillette brand ambassador Joe Hart.
Gillette is also continuing to supporting the UK Coaching Awards, hosted by sports coach UK, which celebrate the role of coaching in encouraging participation, performance and excellence. As part of the Great Start Programme Gillette is offering people the chance to nominate a coach who deserves recognition for their work for the UK Community Coach of the Year Award.

At the end of this apprenticeship you will be a fully qualified swimming teacher, with the ability to teach lessons to groups of swimmers from beginners to experienced, children to adults.
Today the ASA membership Services Team have supplied a list of clubs that have failed to either complete the OMS system or havent made the necessary payment.
This now means that the club is not covered by the ASA Insurance and the club should not train or compete until the information has been made available to the ASA Membership Services Department

The National Deaf Children’s Society and the ASA have teamed up to create the Deaf-Friendly Swimming i-Learn course to help coaches become more deaf aware.
The accredited course is easy to complete and free of charge. The Deaf-Friendly Swimming i-Learn Course is an excellent tool for teachers and coaches to learn how to teach and coach the deaf swimmer and ensure that deaf and hard of hearing young people are supported in accessing swimming sessions.
The ASA and the IOS encourage every active teacher and coach to take advantage of this brilliant free course to continue to ensure that swimming is a fully inclusive sport.

Stockport Metro SC are looking to appoint a swimming coach to work at the club, a club at the forefront of international level swimming.
The coach will work with two junior squads helping in the development of a world class programme. The coach will be responsible for planning and delivering coaching sessions to the Wolfpack Academy, our first intake into the programme and the newly developed county squad.
