The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Central Lancashire SWPA Launch Ladies Water Polo League

Central Lancashire SWPA are proud to announce the launch of the new Ladies Water Polo league.

In the first game of the League Liverpool Liver Birds were host to Tyldesley Pelicans

Liverpool Liver Birds beat Tyldesley Pelican 10 to 5 in the first ever Central Lancashire Ladies Water polo development League  fixture. 

The new league has been set up with the support of Central Lancashire Swimming and Water Polo Association and Swim North West.

Carlisle aquatics, Lancaster Ladies, Leeds Sharks, Liverpool Liver Birds, Manchester Barracudas and Tyldesley Pelicans have joined the league

The aim of the league is to provide competition on a regional basis to develop players and support clubs who may wish to join the league in the

future. Clubs will be encouraged to have a mixture of Senior, University and Junior players.

The strategy  of home and away games is to encourage volunteers to become refs, table officials,team managers and adminstrators
