City of Manchester Water Polo have a vacancy for a Level 2 Water Polo Coach

City of Manchester Water Polo Club is one of the leading water polo clubs in the UK having won all ASA National Age Group Championships for both boys and girls in 2013 and is the current British Women’s Champions.

In partnership with Manchester City Council we are responsible for the development of Water Polo in Manchester from grass roots to elite performance. We have recently been awarded ASA Beacon Club status and are therefore looking for a dynamic Water Polo Coach to work alongside our Head Coach to develop a strategy to drive both the club and regional squads forward.

The role will include responsibility for the development and continued success of the Women’sprogramme as well as assisting the Head Coach with club and regional sessions, so working hours will vary.

The successful candidate must be prepared to be flexible in respect of time commitment and will be supervising all levels of ability from development through to Senior Performance Squads.

The preferred candidate will ideally hold a recognised coaching qualification, but the club would be supportive of the candidate's desire to achieve ASA Level 3. The successful candidate must have the ability to motivate and coordinate others, attend competitions, work with the Head Coach and existing coaching team to maximise opportunities, and take a leading role throughout the club.

Other 'must-have' qualities are being approachable, professional and committed.

City of Manchester Water Polo Club is strongly committed to safeguarding our members and the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

If you are self-motivated, energetic and passionate about helping young people achieve their full potential, then we want to hear from you.
