British Swimming is the National Governing Body for Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Open Water in Great Britain. It is responsible internationally for the high performance representation of the sport. On the site you check the latest British Swimming news, results and ranking and much more information across the multiple disciplines.
The ASA has been in existence since 1869. It was the first Governing Body of swimming to be established in the world and today remains the English national governing body for swimming, diving, water polo, open water, and synchronised swimming. The site holds information on Clubs & Members, Teaching & Coaching and the chance to volunteer.
The Institute of Swimming’s (IoS) education arm is the largest trainer of swimming teachers and coaches in England and the premier provider of the ASA’s courses. We are at the cutting edge of teacher and coach education, from running the latest UKCC courses through to providing continuing professional development opportunities. Information on courses, membership and apprenticeships can be found on the site.
