In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

ASA Annual Council Meeting 2014

This year’s ASA Annual Council Meeting and Dinner took place on 18 October at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

The event saw approximately 110 delegates in attendance, including members of the two ASA Boards, Regional delgates as well as representatives from affiliated bodies and leagues. It was co-chaired by the ASA Group Board Chairman, Edward Lord OBE JP, and Chris Bostock, Chairman of the ASA Sport Governing Board.

Inauguration of the new 2014/15 ASA President Mr Raymond Hedger took place during the Council meeting. Ray, who is from the South East Region, succeeds Simon Rothwell who has held the position for the last twelve months.  Click here to read more about this story.
