Chris Bostock
Chris joined the Board for the second time as an Independent member following the reorganisation that created the current board structure. He lives in the Midlands but to maintain his independence he has no connection with the County or Regional governing bodies.
An Electronic Engineer by training (Loughborough University 1970) Chris has spent all of his working life in management and has been running his own business for the past 36 years.
The challenges of being your own boss requires a vast assortment of knowledge. A small employer needs to be knowledgeable in every subject associated with running a business, even if that knowledge tells him to seek external advice.
Chris' main interests are around IT, finance and officials’ development and appointment. He is a board member with responsibility for finance and can often be seen at events leading the technology associated with timing, scoring, data handling and event presentation. He is currently the Chairman of the British Swimming, Swimming Committee which includes responsibility for British Swimming Officials.
A self confessed computer geek who believes in breaking problems down in to pieces then rebuilding the working solution.
