Regional Coaches Forum

The purpose of the ASA Regional Coaches Forum is to bring together a group of coaches in the region to share knowledge and best practice, discuss and influence regional competition structure and work toward a clear understanding of the swimmer pathway in the region.

Meetings should be attended by a coach from a Beacon Club in the region, an ASA English Programmes Officer and an ASA Club Development Officer who, if necessary, will take minutes and organise meeting rooms and dates.

Beyond this, each Region should set its own criteria for entry to the forum. Regions may wish to set a maximum limit on numbers to enable meetings to be effective. A chair should be elected from the coaches, to chair the meetings.

The Regional Board, Beacon Coach and English Programmes Officer can all help with setting out a clear criteria and while each region will set its own dates for meetings, Forums will usually take place quarterly each year as a minimum.

If you want to find out more about the Coaches Forum in your region, please contact your local ASA Club Development Officer.
