Readers give thumbs up to Swimming Times
Readers gave Swimming Times an overwhelming seal of approval in an online reader survey, with 85 per cent rating the design as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ and 82 per cent describing the overall content as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’. Only 2 per cent had any negative comment on these areas.
Referring to specific aspects of the magazine, most areas won the approval of more than 70 per cent of readers with 92 per cent giving an ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ rating to the use of photographs and 88 per cent to the news and feature pages. Again only 1 or 2 per cent expressed concern over any particular area with the worst ranking still only 8 per cent.
The Disciplines and Regional sections attracted an approval rating from 62 per cent of readers but there was a small amount of dissatisfaction with the Regions, Masters and Open Water (16, 4 and 5 per cent respectively). Conversely, the number describing those sections as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’ was 18, 17 and 24 per cent respectively. Several of the ‘dissatisfied’ wanted more coverage in these areas.
Asked about the magazine’s communication with ASA clubs, the percentage ratings were: excellent 20 per cent, good 43 per cent, average 24 per cent, poor 12 per cent.
And regarding communication with IoS members, the statistics were: excellent 15 per cent, good 42 per cent, average 30 per cent, poor 13 per cent.
