Learn to Swim Accreditation

The ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation is the ASA’s ‘quality mark’. It is designed for swimming providers who continuously review and develop their programme in line with ASA good practice guidelines and want to access a quality mark for service provision.

But the accreditation is not just a badge of honour. It is a development tool that allows swimming coordinators, teachers and programme managers to continually improve.

ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation is available to anyone who runs a learn to swim programme and feels that they are delivering good practice.

The accreditation can be achieved in one of two ways; either directly through the ASA its partnership with Right Directions, or as part of Sport England's Quest Plus assessment process. You can read more about these two pathways below.

ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation

This stand-alone assessment is available through the ASA and Right Directions for sites who just want to accredit their learn to swim programme.

This may be more relevant for swim schools, schools, local authority leisure providers who do on use Quest, or those who constantly improve their learn to swim programme and want recognition to allow them to stand apart from other learn to swim providers.

ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation (Quest Plus module)

Leisure providers who use Sport England’s Quest programme can access ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation through the Quest Plus programme by choosing ASA Learn to Swim Accreditation and Swimming Lessons as part of their Quest Plus optional modules.
