Win free tickets for London 2012 through your aquatics club

25 July 2011

Young aquatics club members between 18 - 26 years old have an exciting opportunity to win a free ticket for to attend the London 2012 Olympic Games through the London 2012 Ticketshare scheme.

The scheme is being run by the British Olympic Association in conjunction with British Swimming and will be offering all young adults in any club in England, Scotland or Wales an opportunity to win a free ticket to attend the Olympic Games in London 2012.

As National Governing Body for aquatic sports, British Swimming have been granted a number of tickets for young adults (aged 18 - 26 years) from our club network to attend a session at the Games.

Tickets will be spread to cover clubs across all four Olympic disciplines - Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming and Water Polo - although there are not enough tickets to provide every club with a ticket.

How to enter

Between 29th July to 16th September all clubs should be getting their members to nominate people who they consider should get a ticket to attend a session at the Games.

It is up to the individual clubs to decide what format the nominations should take so please speak to someone on your club committee to find out how to nominate within your club. All nominations should be a member of a club, be between 18-26 years of age and be an up and coming athlete, coach or volunteer.

On or before the 16th September, clubs should review all of their nominations and pick one winner. Each club should then send the details of their successful nominee to Wendy Lockton, Operations Manager at British Swimming via email at wendy.lockton@swimming.org.

All nominations need to be with Wendy Lockton by 16th September.

The final decision on the successful nominees rests with us, the NGB, who will carry out a draw following receipt of all nominations on 16th September to pick out the winners.

Full details regarding this scheme has been sent to all clubs. If however you are a club secretary who has not received this information please contact Wendy Lockton at wendy.lockton@swimming.org in order to be sent the full details.
