In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

The 2012 British Gas ASA National Masters and Senior Age Group Championships (25M) are fast approaching, with a nation of Masters swimmers coming together to compete from 26th - 28th October at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, Sheffield.

As one of the undisputed highlights of the Masters calendar, this event will see rivals from the ASA, Scottish ASA and Swim Wales compete across each of the age brackets for the ultimate accolade of being crowned the ASA National Masters and Senior Age Group champion.

Whether you are 18 or 85+ years, this diverse event has something for everyone, with previous years seeing World, European and British Records broken by some of our top contenders in Masters swimming.

With no qualifying times, this event is open to and welcomes swimmers of all abilities. Entries close on 3 October at 12 Noon.
