Britain’s best Masters swimmers kept up the standard on the final day of the British Gas ASA Masters and Senior Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, continuing to put in great performances despite three days of heavy competition.

Otter Swimming Club has plenty to celebrate after the second day of the British Gas ASA Masters and Senior Age Group Championships at Ponds Forge, after setting World, European and British Records in the Men’s and Women’s events.
The first day of the British Gas ASA Masters and Senior Age Group Championships (25m) was rounded off in style with three World Records in the new Womens and Mens 400m Medley relays.
Just under 1,000 of Britain’s best Masters and Senior swimmers will be descending on Ponds Forge this weekend.

Every year the ASA takes the time to thank those who dedicate vital hours, days and weeks to our sport with the Aquaforce Volunteer Awards.
Zoe Bell has won the Young Volunteer Award at the Aquaforce Volunteer Awards 2010.
Dr Shirley Crawford Cooke, who for 60 years has dedicated her life to swimming, has scooped this year’s Long Service Award.
79-year-old Brian Barnett has received the ASA’s Aquaforce Award for Outstanding Contribution at County/Regional Level.
Lorraine Riddle has received the ASA Aquaforce Volunteer Award 2010 for the Outstanding Contribution by an 18 to 25-year-old.
