Go Swimming has everything you need to know about swimming. If you are a parent, a non swimmer or just want to improve your technique this is the section for you.

In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Sport and Recreation Annual Awards open to Clubs

What could your Club do with an extra £2000?

The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for governing bodies of sport in the UK, representing and providing services for more than 300 organisations.

This summer will see the Alliance’s 20th Sport and Recreation Awards taking place to showcase the wealth of excellent work sports organisations perform in their local communities.

There are six award categories, each with a monetary prize:

  • Overall Community Sport and Recreation £2,000
  • Volunteer Management £1,000
  • School Links £1,000
  • Professional Club Community Project of the Year Award £1,000
  • Green Thinking £1,000
  • Innovative Project Award £1,000

If your Club has made an incredible contribution to the swimming community please complete the application form and send to volunteering@swimming.org with a copy of your Club constitution by Friday 22nd March 2013.

We will shortlist three Clubs for consideration,Clubs must have Swim21 accreditation.

Winners will be presented with their awards at the Sport and Recreation Alliance Annual General Meeting at St James Palace this summer.
