Successful ASA Club Conferences 2014

7 July 2014

A huge thank you to all delegates who attended the ASA Club Conferences on 21/22 June and 5/6 July 2014. The events were held at four regional locations across the country and staged a unique platform for dynamic learning between both ASA staff and club delegates.

A positive day which has given me confidence that there is a lot of support for us - Club delegate

This year’s conferences comprised of business critical morning workshops including Time to Listen and Team Manager training, a choice of informative afternoon sessions, network tables to facilitate open inter-club conversation and concluded with an inspirational speech from an Olympic athlete.

Feedback from each event was resoundingly positive with 100% of attendees expressing their wish to return again to similar conferences next year, and 92% rating the day’s sessions in the excellent/good category.

One delegate from the conference in Leeds said:

"I was extremely impressed by the level of information and support available. A positive day which has given me confidence that there is a lot of support for us".

In addition, a young volunteer from Marlow commented:[It was] a very good and interesting conference - I have definitely been inspired by today".

We very much value the contribution of our members and look forward to working with our dedicated volunteers – the lifeblood of our sport - to drive the sport’s future development.

A big thank you also for the work of our “very helpful ASA staff” without whom these events would not have been possible.

Additional feedback and workshop suggestions for future ASA club conferences are always welcome.
