The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Crystal Palace divers shine on day one in Sheffield

Crystal Palace are victorious on day one of the British Gas National Age Group Diving Championships 2013 held at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

The squad dominated the first event of the competition securing gold, silver and bronze in the girls 8/13 yrs 1m synchro. Maria Papworth and Scarlett Mew Jenson stood on the top of the podium after scoring a total of 178.56 for their four dives. Tia Monk and Maddie Sweet took home the silver scoring 176.10 and Amelia Connolly and Florence Smith claimed bronze (166.86).

Southampton Divers Angus Kerr and Brandon Foster clinched the gold medal in the boys 8/13 yrs 1m synchro scoring a total of 163.38 after their four dives. Ryhs Crookes and Theo Barnes took home the silver just shy of their teammates with score of 162.96. Raffael Benitez and Corey Goodinson (City of Sheffield) dived for bronze  scoring 162.75.

Thomas Graham and Scott Palmer (Southampton) secured gold in the boys 14/18yrs 3m synchro scoring 210.03 after five dives. Oscar Lippiatt and Finn Aubrey (West Wiltshire) took home the silver medal with a score of 208.74. Bradford Espirit divers Kamran Hamard and Ryan Coones claimed their bronze medal scoring 192.18.

Crystal Palace divers Olivia Jones and Ella Whiting added to the clubs medal tally as they stood on top of the podium in the girls 14/18yrs 3m synchro scoring 225.60 for their five dives. City of Sheffield squad took home the silver and bronze medals respectively. Fern Hitchen and Catriona Fraser with the silver (217.14) and Rhian Humpage and Jade Semper secured the bronze (201.15).
