The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

England triumphant at Commonwealth Water Polo Champs

Both the England men and women’s water polo teams have won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Water Polo Championships in Aberdeen.

The Women’s team lost their final group game 9-8 to Canada in a dress rehearsal of the final, but were keen for revenge as they held off a comeback from Canada in the final quarter to take the match with a 10-9 (3-3, 3-0, 3-2, 1-4) win.

In the second final of the day England Men took on Malta and secured victory with a final score of 16-9 (5-1, 5-2, 4-3, 2-3).

The win provided England with a historic double.
