The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

Fantastic final performances in Youth and Junior Water Polo

City of Manchester’s youth girls water polo team emerged victorious in one of four exciting finals at the ASA National Age Group Water Polo Championships 2012.

The team from the North West won comfortably beating their South East rivals, Invicta 20-10. In a game with plenty of goals to keep the crowd on the edge of their seats, Rosie Huck topped the score board with a fantastic seven goals.

In the Boys competition it was a much more closely contested match with Lancaster stealing victory with a 5-4 win over City of Manchester. Samuel Routledge was the hero of this match scoring all five goals himself!

It was a North West derby in the Junior Girls competition with the City of Liverpool team winning with a score of 8 to City of Manchester’s 3. Lauren Tasker got a trio of goals with Katie Hesketh not far behind with two goals.

Lancaster City added to their Youth win with a Gold in the Junior Boys group. Samuel Smith was top goal scorer in this game with 8 points to his name. The final score was an impressive 12-7 with City of Sheffield taking a valiant silver.
