The country’s rising synchronised swimming stars will descend on Gloucester this weekend

Around 350 athletes and 100 volunteers will descend on the GL1 Leisure Centre on Saturday and Sunday to take part in the British Gas ASA National Age Group Synchronised Swimming Championships. And the ASA would like to assure everyone the event is still taking place despite the snowy conditions.

Over the two days, young girls and women from club's across the country will do battle to take the national titles in their age group. Competitors will compete in four age groups: 12&under, 13/14yrs, 15/16/17yrs and 18/19yrs.

There will also be a showcase performance by the British Synchronised Swimming Team, powered by British Gas, at 3.30pm on Saturday 4th December. To view the full schedule of events click here.

Tickets are available to buy on the door - and everyone who buys a ticket will get a free earpiece radio offering commentary on both days.

The event is a great chance to glance the stars of the future. Five years ago Anya Tarasiuk, Cherry Wilson and Katie Clark took the top three spots in all 12&under events, they are now all members of the British squad.
