The ASA is developing its next four-year strategy (2013-17) and is inviting you to attend a consultation seminar to help influence and shape the sport’s future.

The seminars, which follow an online consultation with pool operators, clubs and consumers, are a key element of the ASA’s extensive consultation process.

Note: These consultative workshops are targeted at personnel from local authorities, leisure trusts, pool operators, commercial operators and strategic partners.

The aim is to ensure that the proposed strategic direction of the sport and the ASA will meet its stakeholder’s needs and ensure post-London 2012 aquatics continues to thrive and develop within the leisure sector.

Your experience and knowledge of the aquatics industry is essential to ensure the ASA’s strategy incorporates its industry partner’s requirements and needs in the future.

The seminars will provide information about the vision for swimming, how the ASA believes it can work with its industry partners to deliver the vision, and outline the ASA’s aspirations linked to the Whole Sport Planning process.

You will have the opportunity to discuss the ASA’s strategic plans for 2013-17 and to help shape what is an ambitious and innovative programme of work for the aquatics industry and the ASA.

Please note that these consultative workshops are targeted at personnel from local authorities, leisure trusts, pool operators, commercial operators and strategic partners.

Regional events will be held for clubs and volunteers across the country in the coming months and invites will be circulated in due course.

The seminars are limited to 30 places each and will take place at SportPark in Loughborough on the dates below.

  • Wednesday 29 February 2012 13:00 – 16:00
