Go Swimming has everything you need to know about swimming. If you are a parent, a non swimmer or just want to improve your technique this is the section for you.

In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Royal Life Saving Society UK launch Drowning Prevention Week 22-30 June

A national campaign by the Royal Life Saving Society UK (RLSS UK) is urging families to keep their loved ones safe near water this summer. Drowning Prevention Week runs from 22 to 30 June and aims to reduce the number of drowning and near drowning incidences that occur in the UK by showing people how to be safe near water.

Help save lives with a ‘Get Safe’ water safety event

On average one person drowns in the UK every 17 hours and drowning is the third highest cause of accidental death among children, with more than half of incidents happening at rivers, lakes, canals and reservoirs.  Give young people in your area the chance to learn about the dangers posed by open water by holding a special ‘Get Safe’ event.

Innovative new partnership to help fund community swimming groups

A brand new partnership has been set up to provide a grant scheme with a focus on community participation in swimming over the next four years. The agreement brings together the knowledge and experience of the Swimming Trust and the ASA, the National Governing Body for Swimming, to manage the funding of community swimming programmes for the Swimathon Foundation.
