THE ASA LAUNCHES NEW LOOK SWIMFIT

The ASA has launched its new look Swimfit website - the online club which provides a gym-style programme for the pool – at www.swimfit.com
The new look Swimfit site, which is powered by British Gas, has been given a fresh new look in response to customer feedback. The new site has easy to navigate menus allowing better access to a wealth of information on topics relating to swimming, health and lifestyle.
The site is split into four sections depending on your motivation for swimming: Health, Shape Up & Tone, Fitness and Competitive. There are sessions available to download which are tailored to each section and which provide structure to pool time, as well as keeping swimmers motivated.
The Swimfit website is completely free to use and visitors can also sign up, at no cost, to the ‘My Swimfit’ section of the site.
‘My Swimfit’ allows users to set their own goals and track their progress towards these by logging all the swimming they do. Users can select their own distance goal to work towards for example swimming the Channel or the Amazon.
Nuala Muir-Cochrane Lifelong Participation for the ASA said: “Swimfit is an excellent way for people to get involved in swimming. It is a fantastic tool for helping to keep swimmers motivated whatever their end goals may be. We’ve also made the entire site free to use so this will hopefully allow many more people to get involved.”
