Show Nick Clegg what regulations are holding back your club
27 Oct 2010
Is red tape holding back your club? Now’s the time to have your say.
CCPR – the national alliance of governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation – is preparing a report for Minister of Sport Hugh Robertson and Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and want to know what regulatory or bureaucratic procedures hinder your club.
A recent CCPR survey found 61 per cent of sports club members think coaching qualifications have a negative impact on grassroots sport while 54 per cent thought the same about health and safety legislation.
Do you agree? Perhaps a different regulatory burden weighs on your mind.
Here are some other regulations and procedures that may affect you:
Charities Act 2006
Complying with Music Licensing Legislation e.g. PRS and PPL
Corporation Tax
Data Protection
Equality Act
Insurance Regulatory Requirements
Licensing Act
The CCPR are asking sports club members and volunteers to send them details of any issues affecting their club that they think need addressing.
Send your responses in a word document to Syann Cox (scox@ccpr.org.uk) before 14 November.
