Volunteer Star Story - Thursday 6 June

6th June

Sue O’Leary
Abingdon Vale

To celebrate Volunteers' Week Abingdon Vale Swimming Club organised a Thanking You Reception. Every  volunteer received a Volunteers' Week  Thank You certificate, personalised to recognise them individually, special 'Thank You' cupcakes and treats were served, as well as tea and coffee.

Diane Law, Chairman of AVSC said, "We at Abingdon Vale have a very active volunteer community.  Almost every parent in the club helps out in one way or another - whether it is selling raffle tickets, warm-up marshalling at our home meets or helping organise social events.

"We also have 36 volunteer coaches, officials and committee members who dedicate a lot of time to the club on a regular basis. We are really grateful to have a club culture where everyone pitches in to help. A special 'Thank You' to our Volunteer C-ordinator, Sue O'Leary who organises and motivates our volunteers."
