Young Disabled Volunteers video nominated for award
23 February 2011
The Young Disabled Volunteers Back Swimming programme has been nominated in the best mygames (powered by v) Digital Documenters category at the First Light Awards.
The ASA’s mygames project aims to increase the number of young volunteers in disability swimming and offers the opportunity for young disabled volunteers aged 16-25 from across the country to volunteer at aquatic events and gain valuable experience.
The video – produced by another mygames project, Digital Documenteers – was filmed at the South West Regional Disability Swimming Championships in Bristol last month and shows a day in the life of a young volunteer at a disability swimming event.
