In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

Introducing ASA Awarding Body and qualifications

The ASA Awarding Body is recognised and regulated by the Office of Qualifications and Examinations Regulation (Ofqual) to offer and certificate vocational qualifications.

We verify learners have been assessed fairly and accurately, confirm they have completed the necessary combination of units and certificate wholly completed qualifications achieved.

ASA Qualifications

We have many ASA qualifications available to you including Teaching Aquatics, Coaching Diving, Coaching Swimming, Coaching Synchronised Swimming and Coaching Water Polo.

Centre Information

Approved Centres are the national network for the delivery and assessment of qualifications leading to an ASA certificate.

Centres on the approved list are accredited to deliver and assess programmes or qualifications leading to an ASA qualification.

Fees

ASA Awarding Body Fees - these fees apply with effect from 1st April 2013 and will apply until 31st March 2014.
