In British Swimming you will find information about the world of high performance sport, including the disciplines of Swimming, Diving, Synchronised Swimming, Water Polo and Para-Swimming.

The ASA is the governing body for the sport in England. In this section you will find all you need to know about joining a club or competing in England and becoming a swimming teacher or coach.

The IoS delivers the ASA’s courses and is a member organisation. Whether you are a teacher, coach, employer or club you will find everything you need to know about qualifications or educating your workforce.

British and International Passes 2014 Online Application Form & Payment

Apply, and pay for, your 2014 event passes using our online form. Before clicking through to the forms, please read below. Note that once you have submitted the form you will be taken to PayPal for payment, unless you are an international applicant seeking British International Para-Swimming Championships 2014 passes.

British Applicants: Click here to go to our online form and complete your details.All ASA clubs and license applicants will have to complete a DBS (CRB) application regardless of any previous check carried out through another organisation unless this has been registered with the DBS Update Service  www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service. Scottish and Welsh applicants also use the British form link left and your details will be checked by the Scottish and Welsh ASA.

English applicants are advised the online Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS formerly CRB) process could take up to 1 month to complete.  All applicants must be registered with an ASA affiliated club.

International Applicants: Click here to go to our online form and complete your details.In order for the pass to be valid coaches must have swimmers attending the relevant competition that the pass has been issued for. Coaches/Chaperones will not be allowed on poolside without a valid pass and under no circumstances will Coaches/Chaperones passes be issued on the day of competition.

All passes will be available to collect at the event; passes will NOT be posted out.  If you have applied for a British event Annual Coach Pass it will be available to collect at the British Gas Swimming Championship. If you apply for individual passes they will be available to collect at the relevant event.

Note on photographs: For 2014 all applications must upload a photo. Moving forwards only new applicants must upload a recent photograph and existing coaches who have not submitted a photograph within the last three years must also do so.
