Local leaders
London 2012 - get ready to celebrate by making the Games Local.
Are you excited about the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games?
In the run up to the Games millions of people will be involved in celebratory events across the country. Could you be someone who makes an event happen?
Local Leaders is an initiative with an invitation from LOCOG (London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games) to take the excitement of London 2012 into your community and create your own Olympic celebrations over the next year.
Who are Local Leaders?
Local Leaders are the nation’s planners and organisers who, with their passion for the London 2012 Games will want to celebrate England’s chance to host the world’s biggest sporting event with their friends, family and local communities.
Local Leaders must be over the age of 18 and will promote awareness of the Games within their community and help to arrange celebrations to ensure as many people as possible get to experience the Olympic glow.
