Youth Forum Meeting – 5th June
Hi everyone and welcome back to the blog!
The Youth Forum met over the weekend with two main items on our agenda; the ASA Open Water Swimming event at Rother Valley in July and the ASA Swimming Conference in October.
We are all looking forward to being a part of the ASA Open Water event on July 24th; it should be an exciting day as our role will be to support the training of the young volunteers in preparation for the event itself. We have already started organising a number of icebreakers and team building exercises that we are looking forward to running and participating in. We have also been given the opportunity to document the two days using different forms of media in order to show the fantastic work of the volunteers.
We are also very lucky to have been invited to speak at the ASA Swimming Conference on October 22nd. Members of the Youth Forum will be delivering part of the keynote speech, we are hoping to give everyone an insight into what the Youth Forum is all about and some of the good work we have been doing. We will also be holding two workshops for the conference delegates to attend. Planning for the conference is now well underway!
