Bethan Corley

I joined my first swimming club at the age of 6 and swam competitively from the age of eight.

I progressed up to National Level in the 200, 400, 800 and 1500 freestyle over a number of consecutive years training up to 21 hours a week. I study Biology at the University of Sheffield where I still compete with the University Swimming and Water Polo club and was named Sheffield University Sports Freshman of the year in 2011 due to my passion for the sport.

I am a qualified Level 2 swimming teacher and have been teaching swimming for the past seven years. I have also coached voluntarily for my home swimming club, Hoylake ASC, for the past six years and my ultimate aim is to inspire more people to become involved in grass root level sport.
