Gabbi Simmonds

I have been involved in swimming since almost the same time I learned to walk, with a family background in swimming and open water.

Gabbi Simmonds

I have been involved in sport volunteering for many years,  including oversees roles in South Africa, India and a Games Maker at The Olympic and Paralympic Games 2012. As well as this I have been specifically involved in the water safety side of aquatics where I am Sussex’s Youth Development Officer for the RLSS along with a number of other national and regional positions.

In 2011 I graduated with a BA Honours Sport Studies degree at The University of Brighton.  I have a lot of coaching experience and am current working within Sport Development with the Sport Academy department of Worthing College as well as an assistant Rugby Coach and Swimming Teacher in Brighton.

I have a huge passion for sport as well as developing young volunteers and increasing the capacity of young people participating.
