British swimmers were in action at the Amsterdam Cup this weekend with eight medal winning performances from swimmers set to race at the ASA National Winter Meet.

City of Derby’s Adam Peaty, who won silver in both events at the European Short Course Championships in Israel, looked in control of the field as he won the 50m and 100m Breaststroke double in the Netherlands
Molly Renshaw was also in strong form, setting her fastest time of the season to win gold in the 200m Breaststroke. The 19-year-old swimmer went on to post a lifetime best for bronze in the 200m Individual Medley.
There were eight other British medallists over the three days of competition at the Amsterdam Cup, including Renshaw’s Loughborough University teammates Dan Fogg, Caleb Hughes, and Andrew Weatheritt.
Fogg lifted the 800m Freestyle title in 8:04.48 before adding 1500m Free silver in 15:19.63, while Caleb Hughes scooped bronze in the 800m and 1500m Freestyle and Andrew Weatherrit claiming the final place on the rostrum with 50m Freestyle bronze.
City of Sheffield teammates, Nick Grainger and Ellie Faulkner, will also head to their local pool following medal winning performances in the 400m Freestyle events with silver and bronze respectively.
Derventio’s Imogen Clark, who has been named on British Swimming’s Podium Potential Squad for 2016, took silver in the 50m Breaststroke.
