Olympic silver medallist Michael Jamieson is the latest star name to confirm his entry to the ASA National Winter Meet (25m) 2015 in Sheffield.

With less than a week until entries close on Thursday 26 November, the fields are starting to stack up for the ASA’s showpiece short course meet, taking place from 17 – 20 December.

Jamieson one of four Olympians

Breaststroke star Jamieson is one of four London 2012 Olympians set to line-up at Ponds Forge, with Jemma Lowe, Lizzie Simmonds and Antony James also racing.

Butterfly swimmer James, who won Commonwealth silver in 2010, has shown glimpses of his best form in the past few months, clocking his fastest long course time for four years to take the 100m Fly title in 52.20 at the British Summer Championships in July.

And the 26-year old backed up that form with his fastest short course 100m Fly time for six years at last weekend’s BUCS Championships, winning gold in 51.12.

Some of Great Britain’s top youngsters have also confirmed their entry for next month’s Winter Meet, looking to lay down a marker before attention turns to qualifying for Rio 2016 next year.

Nova Centurion’s Rosie Rudin ducked under 4:40 for the first time to take the World Junior 400m Individual Medley crown last summer and is one of the eye-catching entries in the women’s events.

Meanwhile, Bath University freestyle swimmers Calum Jarvis and Jay Lelliott will be two to watch in the men’s races, having both won senior medals on the international stage in 2014.
