Open Water titles for Hughes and Branch

Nathan Hughes and Sarah Branch won the 1.5km titles in the oldest age group at the British Gas ASA National Open Water Championships in Rother Valley.

Hatfield’s Hughes completed the pool and open water 1500m double, winning the open water title for the third year in succession, while Northampton swimmer Branch defended her title from last year and showed determination, having won 400m Freestyle bronze in the pool only last night.

The 13 Yrs titles went to Joel Thompson (Shiverers) and Phoebe Griffiths (Borough of Waltham Forest) while Ellesmere College were celebrating in the 12 Yrs age group as Charlie Hutchison and Shannon Dalligan won the two titles, Hutchison also completing the pool and open water 1.5km double.
