The S R Drinkwater & W H Dalby Trophy is awarded to the fastest male junior swimmer in the 100m Backstroke at the ASA National Championships.
History of the S R Drinkwater & W H Dalby Trophy
Drinkwater and Dalby were the ASA Hon Auditors for many years, keeping ASA finances on the straight and narrow.
Mr Dalby became ASA President in 1954. He was also treasurer of the ASA Midland Region for 10 years, as well as being the secretary of Nottinghamshire Swimming Association and a timekeeper at the 1948 Olympic Games.
Mr Drinkwater followed in his father’s footsteps and became the ASA Midland Region President in 1952.
