Schedule and qualification times released for 2016 Winter Meet

Ben Proud and Imogen Clark set British records on first night

The schedule and qualification times have been released for the ASA National Winter Meet (25m) 2016.

The Winter Meet will return to Sheffield’s Ponds Forge for the second consecutive year, taking place from 15 – 18 December.

Last year’s Winter Meet saw some of Great Britain’s top swimmers in action, with Ben Proud setting four British records and Aimee Willmott helping herself to four individual golds.

A and B finals scheduled for 2016

This year’s schedule sees A and B finals planned for all individual events, with the exception of the women’s 800m Freestyle and the men’s 1500m Freestyle.

There will also be 4x100m and 4x200m Freestyle Relays as well as 4x100m Medley Relays contested for men and women.

Separate qualification times have been set for open age group and swimmers born in 2001 or later.

Swimmers wanting to enter the Winter Meet must have achieved these times since 1 December 2015 in a short course pool.
