Become a BBC star… and learn to swim at the same time
01 July 2011
Fancy becoming a star of BBC this summer? Well here’s your chance!
BBC Radio 5 Live presenter and self-confessed swimming nut Shelagh Fogarty wants to help a family learn to swim this summer.
Whether your family can’t swim, can’t swim well or simply want to reboot your swimming habits, get in touch and you could be making a Big Splash this summer.
“It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of swimming,” said Fogarty.
“When the BBC asked me what I would like to do for the Big Splash campaign, I had a think and obviously wanted to be involved.
“I thought it must be awful not to be able to swim. I remember learning as a little girl and how hard it was to learn.
“But it can be loads of fun as well so if you’re a family that can’t swim or can’t swim well then contact us.”
