Hundreds of school children will have the chance to try a range of fun water-based activities and meet Olympic Bronze-medallist Steve Parry at the Big Splash Fun Day taking place in Manchester on Monday 12 December.
The invite only event at the Salford Watersports Centre is part of the BBC’s Celebrate Sport festival taking place from 8 to 22 December. Children will be making a big splash by taking part in free aquatic taster sessions including rafted canoes, powerboats, sailing, bellboats and rowing.
The very exciting Speedo sponsored Xbox Kinect Michael Phelps ‘Push the Limit’ interactive game will be on board the Speedo Roadshow bus, which will also be showcasing Speedo’s latest range of bright and colourful swimwear.
The lucky children will also receive goodies courtesy of Kellogg’s from the Big Splash team who will be at the event to promote the other Big Splash events such as the Big Splash Mile for Sport Relief in April next year. This fundraising event launches in January and participants can register to swim the mile individually or as a team, perfect for families looking to make a big splash together.
