Big Splash Open Day at Peterlee Leisure Centre

Peterlee Leisure Centre in County Durham will hold a Big Splash Open Day on Saturday 8 October, to launch their new pool programme.

The leisure centre has plenty of free activities planned for all ages and abilities, between 10:00am and 2:00pm.

Activities will include lane swimming, as well as a host of sessions including Zumba, Swim 4 Fitness, Aqua Jogging, Aquacise, Aqua CIRCUITS and lane swimming. Big Splash mascot, Trunx, will also make an appearance at the event.

A partnership between British Swimming and the BBC, the Big Splash initiative has been designed to get people of all ages back into the water in the UK’s biggest celebration of swimming.
