Kidd and Foster promote swimming at launch of Big Dip

Supermodel mum-to-be Jodie Kidd and five-time Olympian Mark Foster have been shouting about the benefits of swimming at the launch of the British Gas Big Dip on Clapham Common.

Kidd, who is expecting her first child in September, took part in the mile-long British Gas Great London Swim in the Thames last year and admits swimming has been vital for her to keep in shape during pregnancy.

Meanwhile British record holder Foster, who has long been a champion of British Gas Swimfit, held a masterclass with local schoolchildren.

The British Gas Big Dip is a unique ‘urban’ swimming festival with two purpose-built pools and an adjoining beach on the Common between 27th June and 17th July.

One pool will be dedicated to teaching children to swim while the other will be used for family play or general swimming.
