Newham Swims 2012 – A Big Splash Event

Newham and UEL Swimming Club in East London are organising a Big Splash event which will raise money through a sponsored relay-style swim in aid of Richard House Children’s Hospice (registered charity) and will be part of Newham’s “Let’s Get the Party Started” celebrations in the lead up to the Olympics. Funds raised will be shared with Newham Swimming Club to help to get more children in Newham swimming.

The event will be held at East Ham Pool on Saturday 23 June 2012 and the relay will total 2,012 lengths of the pool. Members of the public, particularly local school children, are encouraged to pre-register for the event, raise sponsorship and swim part of the relay, for example; one, two or more lengths of the pool (depending on how many they can do and how many entrants there are).
